Hero is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language superhero film written by P. S. Mithran, Pon Parthiban, Savari Muthu and Antony Bhagyaraj, and directed by P. S. Mithran. The film was produced by KJR Studios. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan, Kalyani Priyadarsa, Arjun and Abhay Deol among others. The director of photography is George C. Williams and the film is edited by Rueben.

VFX Highlights
The mask was digitally modeled in 3D after which it was 3D printed for actor Sivakarthikeyan.
Scenes
In a crucial scene, Shakti (Sivakarthikeyan) releases an unpublished video recording device to spy on his enemies. Director PS Mithran’s vision of this device was a scorpion-like machine that could walk on walls. This device was completely designed and modeled in 3D by Mindstein.
The corporate kingpin character Mahadev’s (Abhay Deol) office in the film required a huge aquarium in the background. Cinematographer George C. Williams and Production designer V. Selvakumar had supported the VFX department with clear visions throughout pre-production and production. These techniques helped in creating the visuals for the aquarium office sequences in the film.
Certain elements like fire, sparks and electric shocks were added throughout the film. In one such important sequence, the background outside Sathyamoorthy’s (Arjun Sarja) school had to be changed from dusky evening to broad day.
